FRED GANNING, JR.
STRATEGIC ADVISOR AND DIRECTOR OF THE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

Fred has been a strategic advisor to the Firm since 2012 and has been investing with the Firm and MetVP for over 15 years.  He is on the Board of Directors, as well as the investment committee, for CreditMax, a Metropolitan portfolio company (Metropolitan EIH10). Fred’s prior experience includes a 25+ year career at ED&F Man, Man Group PLC and ED&F Man Holdings Ltd. He was a Main Board Director for ED&F Man Holdings Ltd., as well as Managing Director for ED&F Man Cocoa and Coffee Ltd.  As Managing Director, he set the strategic direction for the division, determined trading strategies and the risk profile of the division, and managed the senior staff in physical and futures trading in London, New York, Singapore and Brazil.  Fred was also the Chief Executive Officer of Raise Hope Capital LLC, a start-up company in financial services with a mission of employing people with disabilities, including American military veterans.  Before joining Raise Hope, he was the president of Simplex Corporation where he managed a fund for convertible preferred equities and determined the fund's strategies and risk profile. 

Fred earned his MBA in Quantitative Analysis and a B.S. in Finance, both from Seton Hall University.  In addition to his professional experience, Fred is an adjunct faculty member at Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business.

 

Adrian G. Blumfield
Non-Executive Chairman

Since 2008, Adrian has been Chairman of Metropolitan Equity Partners.  Adrian left Man Group PLC in 2008 after eleven years during which he served both as head of strategic planning for the CEO based in London, and as head of business development for Man Investments' North American operations.  He worked closely with senior management across the Group exploring and developing strategic options at both the business unit and corporate level. Before joining Man, he worked with strategic consultants Mars & Co, serving senior management at a number of multi-national firms across a range of industries in both Europe and North America. At Metropolitan, Adrian holds multiple leadership roles contributing to business development, due diligence, Firm management and portfolio oversight.  In 2014, Adrian became CEO of a new entity called Metropolitan Merchant Capital to focus on the opportunities around the unmet capital needs of small business merchants in the U.S. Adrian previously represented the Man Group on the Board of MetVP.  

Adrian earned an MBA from London Business School and an M.A. in Natural Sciences (Physics) from Downing College, Cambridge, England.

 

Douglas Jacobsen
Board Member

Douglas is the Chief Executive Officer of JH Capital Group. In this role Mr. Jacobsen is the visionary of the company and is responsible for overall business strategy, and he is the driver of all merger and acquisition activity.  Mr. Jacobsen is a “hands on” CEO in the execution of business plans and he is the face of the company, driving all community relations, public relations and community outreach.  Mr. Jacobsen is a serial entrepreneur with a long track record of success. He is the name sake behind the company and is the founder of JH Portfolio Debt Equities, LLC.  Mr. Jacobsen is also the founder of Jacobsen Holdings, LLC a successful development company which owns shopping centers anchored by Best Buy, Home Depot, Albertsons, Walgreens, and other brand name big box retailers. His tenacity and ability to get things done was the driving force behind the development of over $450 million of retail, office and industrial properties. Mr. Jacobsen is a member of the Seneca – Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma. He is a current board member of Credit Control, CreditMax, Medical Recovery Services, AMS, Debt Away, New Credit America, JTA, Semper Fortis Solutions, Fornetix, and Global Edge.
