Our primary investment objective is to identify and create investment opportunities with asymmetric risk/reward profiles that offer enhanced downside protection with meaningful upside optionality. We invest time, experience and intelligence to understand non-apparent opportunities and generate outsized investment profit through the skillful application of operational expertise and deal structuring rather than financial engineering.
Metropolitan was founded in 1999 with backing from a NY-based family office and the Man Group, plc. Since 2008, Metropolitan has been providing outsourced private equity services to high net worth individuals and family office investors on a call-fund basis. Metropolitan's call fund structure is significantly different from traditional private equity funds as we do not require pre-investment commitments. We allow investors the freedom to opt-in to specific deals when the risk profile, sector and investment duration matches their interest. We seek to combine the flexibility of a call-fund with the stability of institutional scalable processes.
